DESCRIPTION:Indivisible BR has partnered with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. We appreciate your donation. \n\n\n\nToday I learned about efficient food drives. \n\n\n\nOption 1: You drive to the store\, pay retail for a food item\, maybe $2 or $3; bring it home\, and drive to a collection location. Someone from the sponsoring organization collects the food once a week\, maybe at the end of the drive. The food is delivered to the BR Food Bank to be stored\, then sorted\, and then distributed. Five trips\, $3\, one food product. \n\n\n\nOption 2: You click the Donation link above and donate $2 or $3. The BR Food Bank has immediate access to the funds\, which they use to buy food in bulk. Zero trips\, $3\, 3 food products. \n\n\n\nNo donation is too small. Even $5 makes a difference. DESCRIPTION:Real Change Starts When We Show Up! \n\n\n\nOn the first Saturday of every month\, from 10:30 AM till noon (rotating locations)\, let them know that we’re showing up and speaking out about the abuses\, injustices\, and attacks on our Constitution \n\n\n\nIn this critical moment for our democracy\, we must continue to engage in peaceful protest against the Trump administration and its policies. Peaceful protest is not only a constitutional right—it is a moral responsibility. When those in power promote policies or rhetoric that threaten equality\, justice\, and the rule of law\, silence becomes complicity.  \n\n\n\nPeaceful protest allows us to amplify the voices of the marginalized\, hold leaders accountable\, and affirm the core values that define our nation: freedom\, dignity\, and respect for all people. History has shown that nonviolent resistance—rooted in courage and solidarity—has the power to bring about real\, lasting change.  \n\n\n\nWe protest not out of hatred\, but out of hope. We gather not to divide\, but to demand unity based on truth and justice. By standing together peacefully\, we demonstrate that the conscience of the people cannot be silenced and that democracy thrives only when citizens are engaged\, vigilant\, and unafraid to speak out. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNotes from the organizer: The ground is mainly flat with no stairs or steps.
